About the Position
We are seeking a Marketing & Communication Coordinator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone looking for the next step in their career in Marketing/Communication and who has experience with internal & external communication. The ideal candidate would be proactive, ready to own it all and work directly with all offices and the CEO office.
Responsibilities:
- Internal Communications, such as:
- Inform and organize cross-company team building activities or initiatives.Draft correspondences when required, mainly speech writing, interview preparation, regional office announcements, etc.Create and implement company Internal Communications Plan.Oversee, own and update the company Branding Guide including all company documents required for projects, submittals, email signature, and more to ensure consistency across all offices (including Word Documents, PowerPoints, Excel sheets, tables, charts, pricing sheets, etc.)
- Support the integration of company mergers and acquisitions.
- External Communications, such as:
- Monitor, update and edit website content.
- Create social media calendar (yearly/weekly), including notable dates.
- Draft captions and visuals for social media posts, coordinate content and internal approvals for postings, including project photos, office event photos, acquisitions/company updates.
- Design, create and build promotional materials as required following brand guidelines.
- Organize with local or traveling members photo opportunities across company for internal/external purposes
- Creation and editing of company content for internal and external use, including photography and videography.
- Coordinate and complete complex award applications.
- Manage and promote the company’s awards recognitions and implication.
- Manage embargo dates for announcements
- Draft press releases for the CEO’s office and Business Development Team on company updates and coordinate internal approvals (i.e., acquisitions, company awards, etc.) and coordinate distribution.
- Coordinate Press opportunities for company surrounding press releases (i.e. interviews for award recognitions, gala/event opportunities, TV appearances, etc.)
- Act as company spokesperson to external agencies, where required.
- Seek out public relations events for team members to attend, including networking events such as building expos/Trade shows, construction events per each regional office, etc.
- Support CEO office with charitable opportunities across all offices as required.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in Marketing and/or Communications and/or Public Relations required.
- Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
- Experience with social media and campaigns.
- Manage website content & design.
- Experience with SEO.
- Able to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance would be an asset.
- Willingness to travel to visit offices, projects, and job sites as necessary.

• Asbestos removal/abatement.

• Communicate with other employees and lead teams of proper handling of these hazardous waste according to guidelines and compliance.
