About the Position
Reporting to the Area Manager, the General Superintendent will support Inflector’s operations team with a variety of project functions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning and project execution, working directly with the Operations Manager to assist with site management duties, field-level safety, scheduling of labour, planning of equipment and resources, and communicating with clients and office personnel.

Responsibilities

• Drive the project schedule in conjunction with the project team, ensuring that completion dates and project milestones are met
• Create and monitor weekly ‘look ahead’ schedules for various projects
• Partner with the operations team to maintain safety and record keeping requirements as per provincial regulations and Inflector’s Health & Safety Program
• Partner with the operations team and site supervisors to assess and implement risk assessments on various project sites
• Effectively communicate with the project team and subtrades to ensure performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met
• Advise the Project Manager on potential problems, scheduling difficulties, etc
• Collaborate with site supervisors, subtrades, consultants and clients regarding site issues
• Enforce disciplinary actions as needed
• Review and understand contract and subcontract documents
• Assist with managing site inventory
• Manage site administration such as waste removals, bin drops, and material delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Field Supervisor or Lead Hand/Foreman role

• Experience in the Hazardous Materials Field would be considered an asset
• Understanding of project schedules and ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of provincial safety regulations
• Ability to lead and run effective site meetings with various personnel (internal field crew, subtrades, consultants, etc.)
• Demonstrated conflict-resolution skills, problem-solving abilities, and professional judgement
• Excellent organization and time management skills

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Project Coordinator

Reporting to both the Project Manager and Area Manager, the Project Coordinator will support the Project Management team with a variety of project functions. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and submitting project documentation, supporting the costing, and billing process, and completing site visits and observations to track progress and subsequently prepare and submit project reports.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers in preparing billing on a regular and compliant basis
• Attend job walk-throughs to identify project start-up requirements
• Participate in site visits to track progress and complete observations
• Liaise with the site supervisor and clients
• Review project drawings and specifications
• Assist in making changes to project scope, schedules, and costs
• Assist in risk analyses during project planning phase
• Process and issue change orders as directed by the Project Manager
• Assist with establishing project budgets, and implementing cost controls
• Prepare schedules using Inflector’s project management software.

About the Position
We are seeking a General Laborer & Abatement Technician to join our team of demolition and environmental abatement experts. This position is ideal for someone who is looking to start an exciting career within the construction industry. As a General Laborer & Abatement Technician, you will be responsible for demolition, remediation and abatement work ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Inflector provides an outstanding package including union wages, benefits, and pension. The position is full-time – 44 hours/week with jobs located in the surrounding of each job locations mentioned above.

Responsibilities
• Hazardous material containment and clean-up.
• Asbestos removal/abatement.
• Asbestos abatement projects in a variety of industrial and residential work environments.
• Mold remediation
• Lead abatement.
• Follow company policies for removal procedures to ensure safety.
• Communicate with other employees and lead teams of proper handling of these hazardous waste according to guidelines and compliance.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHIMIS) and knowledge in hazardous materials abatement and remediation preferred.
• Construction industry experience would be an asset.
• Able to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance an asset.
• Willingness to travel to different job sites.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
