Xavier Cifuentes speaks at Safety Leaders Summit Canada 2022

On June 21st, Inflector Environmental Services’ Vice President of Health and Safety, Xavier Cifuentes, was a moderator and speaker at this year’s Safety Leaders Summit Canada.

“Safety Leaders Summit Canada is uniting senior OHS professionals from across the industry for a transformative day of virtual learning and discovery.”

Xavier’s panel discussion was centred on how health and safety initiatives should be a top-down approach, in that having leadership on board and promoting best health and safety practices will positively influence a team’s outlook on health and safety. Also discussed were actionable strategies to help overcome the greatest challenges faced by health and safety professionals across a variety of industries.

“Leaders should aim to inspire cultural changes with an organization through setting a clear vision for occupational health and safety, establish effective communication and ensure staff are effectively and appropriately trained.”

On his panel, Xavier was joined by top health and safety professionals in the industry, including Joey Abrams, Area Director of Safety and Environmental Compliance at Waste Management of Canada Corp., Lee-Anne Lyon-Bartley, Executive Vice President of Health and Safety, Environment and Quality with Dexterra Group Inc., and Robert Tully, Managing Director of Safety with Canadian Pacific.

Thank you, Xavier, for representing and encompassing Inflector’s culture of health and safety by contributing to such an important event, truly putting into practice our motto, ‘jobs done safe, jobs done right.”
