Inflector Environmental Services Opens New Office in Newfoundland & Labrador
St. John’s, NL – August 9, 2024.
Inflector Environmental Services is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest office just outside of St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, marking a long-awaited return for the company. This new office, located at 4 Hops St. Conception Bay South, is a homecoming for many on the Inflector team, who are proud to return to their Newfoundland roots and contribute to the local community.
Inflector’s headquarters are in Ottawa but its foundation lies in the East Coast shores. The Clarke Family, founders of Inflector, hail from Nova Scotia, and David Walsh, a well-known founding partner, is a proud Newfoundlander. Devon Keats, the Regional Manager, has called Newfoundland home his entire life and is thrilled to lead our newest office. Devon, along with Dwight Laver the Operations Manager Jodi Petten-Greenslade the Project Coordinator and their field staff are all eager to bring Inflector’s high-quality environmental services to the region.
Jeff Clarke, the eldest Clarke son and CEO of Inflector said “We are thrilled to open our new office in Newfoundland & Labrador, returning to our roots and investing in the local community. We are proud to be here and look forward to building lasting relationships.”
Devon Keats added, “Returning to my home province to open Inflector’s St. John’s office has been an incredible journey. Finding the right office space was a challenge but seeing how the industry is evolving and is on an upward trend is encouraging.
Our new office space, located just five minutes from the main industrial park in St. John’s, is situated in a small commercial industrial area. This strategic location allows us to efficiently serve the local industry and address the growing demand for environmental services. Since moving into the office on July 1st, we have been steadily building our team in the region. Inflector boasts a management team of 25 in Atlantic Canada across 3 offices with field crews able to service any site in the region.
One of the significant ongoing projects is currently in Corner Brook on the west coast of Newfoundland, where the team is conducting asbestos abatement for 32 townhouses. This project not only ensures the safety and health of the local residents by removing hazardous materials properly but also creates job opportunities. The former Grace Hospital Nurses Residence known to many locals as a previous eyesore was the major project that brought Devon Keats back to Newfoundland and ignited the building of his local crew. Built in the 1960s and left abandoned in the 2000’s, the aging structure was not just a community relic; it was a hazardous time capsule filled with asbestos, rendering it unsafe for conventional demolition.
Reflecting his East Coast heritage, David Walsh remarked, “Inflector’s expansion to Newfoundland & Labrador is a homecoming for me and many of our team members. We are excited to contribute to the local industry, create opportunities for the community and have lasting positive impact.”
Inflector Environmental Services is committed to making a positive impact in Newfoundland & Labrador, and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Our team’s local roots, combined with our expertise and dedication, are paving the way to “Get on the go’.
